Revlon Lip Butter in Cupcake

When the Revlon Lip Butters came out in Fall 2011 I was saving for a trip and could only afford just one so I picked up the shade "Cupcake" as it seemed like it was easy to wear.  I have since tried a number of Revlon's Lip Butters and I have to say this one is my ultimate favourite.

Cupcake is a light cool toned pink but it's just the right amount of "light" in that it still manages to brighten my face.  The formula is very moisturising and slightly sticky, but I don't mind.  One downside of these lip butters is that they melt very easily so you have to be careful in the summer.

There's something very special about this colour though.  I have a huge lipstick collection and this is the only one I've repurchased since I became obessed with different lip colours.  I would even go as far as saying it's my favourite light pink ever and the one I'd most recommend.

Availability: Drugstores, Wal-Mart, Superstore etc.

  3. That is a gorgeous color and I like it because its comparable to a nude shade without the beige color. I don't know if I making sense but nude colors always make my face look weird. And like you said this is a subtle color but it does lighten your face. And yes lip butters melt really really fast -__- Great post! You are very pretty :)

  4. This is a really lovely colour on you. I can't seem to carry off paler colour lips but that might just be me thinking that and being paranoid. I am always envious when someone carries it off well like you do!

    1. Thanks Janine :) This is just dark enough to make it wearable. I do prefer darker lips but obviously they don't suit evey occassion.

  7. This looks lovely, and is what I like to call a "your lips but better color"! I have tragically lost a couple of lipsticks to car heat in the summer and one nail polish to extreme cold - who knew it would burst?

    1. Oh no I didn't know nail polish could burst :( I've had these melted just from being in my purse on a hot day.
