Blush Pretty Beauty Board Goody Bag & Purchases

I posted the other day about the Blush Pretty Beauty Board even that I attended last Sunday.  Tickets cost $35 (plus taxes & fees) and for that price we got some amazing food and drinks as well as a very generous goody bag.  You could also purchase products from the booths and I picked up a few things which I've marked with asterisks.  I will be testing everything out so expect some reviews of the above products in the future.

The Consonant Body Wash is unscented and soap free so I purchased it for my boyfriend (he's allergic to sodium lauryl sulfate a common ingredient in soap).  Consonant also gave me some free samples meant for sensitive skin which I gave to my boyfriend to try out.  As you can see I got plenty of lip balms but they're something I use daily and each one smell amazing!

Cheeky Monkey are a brand I see for sale in a lot of stores in my area but I've never actually tried their polishes so I'm excited to give these a go.  I've actually never had fake nails in my life but these Impress Nails looked really natural on the girls at their booth.  I received a lot of skincare products meant for sensitivie skin (which I have) from Pure + Simple, Pelle Beauty, and Kaia so I'll be trying them all out soon.

Farley Co. are a marketing company that bring interesting products from around the world to Canada.  From them I received a Montagne Jeunesse scrub, Splat Hair Chalk, Blistop, and I also bought some Real Techniques brushes which are currently dirty which is why I didn't take pictures of them.  I only received one "makeup" item which is a cream blush/lip colour from Revolution Organics in the shade Bronze.

The theme of this Beauty Board was Bridal Beauty so we received beautiful cards from A Paper Story, tea from MIYU, and Washi Tape from Paper + Cloth.  I'm not getting married anytime soon (this is directed at my mother if she's reading this lol) but if I was they all seem like nice thank you gifts/favours.

Have you heard of any of these brands/tried their products?

  2. A lot of brands I haven't heard or tried before, I will look forward to your reviews. I have to say I tried the impress nails and on me they were too big and came off soon. I don't want to put you off though, you might have better luck, xoxo.

  8. What a fun goody bag! Consonant makes really nice products, but I've always balked at the price. Nice that they included some more obscure brands too- they seem like such unique products! Liking the sounds of that hair serum and the violet hair chalk especially :)
