GOSH BB Cream

Danish drugstore brand, GOSH is one I don't hear about much online yet all the products I've tried from them have been very good quality.  I have tried a Korean BB cream before (the hot pink Skin 79 one) and hated it so I was curious to see how Western BB Creams performed.  Majority of the drugstore BB creams are way too dark for me so when I saw this super pale offering from GOSH on sale I bought it on a whim.

GOSH BB Cream is housed in a teeny tiny tube (you'd almost mistake it for concealer) yet it contains the standard volume of foundation which is 30 ml.  There are 5 shades available in this line and I grabbed the lightest one, "01 Sand" assuming that it would be the right match for me. "01 Sand" is the lightest base makeup I've come across in the drugstore.  I'm pale but not super pale so this is actually too light for me which is a first.  I wish I had bought the next shade up, "02 Beige" as it would probably be better for me in the summer.

Since this comes in a tube you have to be very careful not too squeeze out too much BB cream as it can be very sensitive.  Upon application this BB cream looks greyish yet once you start to blend it into your skin it adapts to match your skintone.  It also feels like a thick paste, almost like glue yet once it dries it feels almost unnoticable on the skin.  The coverage is very minimal as I can still see my freckles through it yet I feel like it blurs out all my imperfections.  I still needed concealer and set it all with powder as I hate the look and feel of foundation on it's own.

GOSH claims this is a "foundation, primer, and moisturiser in one" so I would I assume you're expected to just whip this on in the morning without worrying about using any skincare.  I tried it out the first time minus my usual moisturiser and my skin felt very dry and this BB Cream clung to all my dry patches.  I now wear this over moisturiser which I feel works better for my dry skin.  GOSH BB Cream lasts around 6 hours on on my face before it faded but it didn't get greasy.

Overall I'm fairly impressed with how this BB cream performs but just wish I had bought a darker colour.  Since this is so pale it'll probably be perfect for mixing with other foundations which are too dark.

Availability:  $22 at Shoppers Drug Mart (I managed to get it on sale for $19.80)

  1. Ah, I always thought GOSH was Canadian brand! Never tried anything from them before, 22$ is a bit too much for a BB cream for me, but it does look good on you!

  3. I just bought the Garnier BB cream but I am also debating picking up the Nearly Naked foundation for a lighter coverage during the summer:) The sand matches you so well, I wish it was that easy for me to find a shade for myself lol!

    1. I found Nearly Naked to be kind of heavy :( It's actually a bit too light for me but I guess it's more noticable in real life.

  7. I'll definitely have to try this out! Would be curious if my oily skin could handle it without a moisturizer underneath. And thanks for the tip about the lightest shade being too light! I'm used to the palest shades still looking orange on my skin!
