Maybelline Instant Age Eraser Dark Circle Concealer

Is that not the longest name you ever seen for a concealer or what?  Up until a few years ago I never had under eye circles and I didn't even need under eye concealer.  I always looked for concealer to cover up my acne and now that I finally (hopefully) gotten rid my acne I am now getting getting darkness under my eyes.  Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer has been my holy grail under eye concealer for awhile but lately it's just not been opaque enough.  I had heard a lot of rave reviews for this Maybelline concealer so I picked up a tube.

I have had great experiences with Maybellines concealers in the past so I had high expectations for this one.  Luckily my expectations were met as this is one amazing concealer!  At first I thought the concealer was a tad too pink but it adapted to my skintone and blended easily into my skin.  Just a tiny bit of this concealer completely covers my undereye circles without looking cakey.  Eraser Dark Circle Concealer feels comfortable and moisturising and lasts all day.

The only grip I have with this concealer is the packagaing as I don't think an attached sponge is very sanitary!  I'm prone to eye infections so only time will tell if this becomes an issue for me.  To use this concealer you turn the top of the tube and concealer comes through little holes underneath the sponge.  When I first used this concealer I had to turn the top a lot until concealer started to come through.  This hasn't been an issue since though.  I'm willing to over look the packaging flaws of this concealer as the concealer itsel is amazing, especially for something affordable.

Availability: Shoppers Drug Mart ($12.99); it will be cheaper at Wal-Mart, Pharma Plus etc.

  2. I love this concealer and the foundation is pretty good too!! The sponge applicator is said to be anti-microbial if that helps!!

  5. I really liked this but I realized that this creases like crazy in my under eye area, I use neutralizer and it is a very good match for my color though

  9. Hi darling, how are you, I've been away from blogging for what seems like an eternity (end of year exams) so I'm back and I said I'd pop over and say hello :) this looks lovely and you can really see the difference. I don't know if the sponge is a good idea from a hygiene point of view but other then that I have to agree and say it looks great and not too cakey or thick looking either..

  12. I have so many of the same thoughts you have about this! At first I thought my light shade was too pink/dark, but after I blended, it was perfect. And I also wish the sponge was removable to wash. Gross! Dirty sponges!

  13. I was thinking about this concealer as one for my under eye circles, since I have really bad under eye circles as well, after hearing great reviews too! Caking up and the shade of the concealer are my biggest issues with under eye concealers so it sounds like these two problems are not here for this one! I might give this a go if I'm going to buy an under eye concealer! :)

  17. I have been using Garnier's dark eye concealer but I have been looking for another product since I don't think it's working too well. I have been blessed with nice skin... but terrible dark eyes. Will be giving this a buy for sure!
