MUA Cream Blush in Bittersweet

I received this cream blush in my U.K. swap with Paulina from this girl loves chic but I will link below where you can order it online if you live outside of the U.K.  MUA is almost like a British version of E.L.F. Cosmetics as most of their products sell for £1-£2 and you can buy them at the British chemist/drugstore chain Superdrug as well as online.  I had previously only tried MUA's eyeshadows so I was pretty excited when I received this.

MUA Cream blushes come in basic and thin plastic packaging.  This blush easily fits in the palm of my hand and won't take up much space in your makeup bag.  The clear window at the top of the compact makes it easy to see what the colour is.  I would prefer that this blush came with a mirror but for £2 ($3.13 CAD) you can't really complain.

Bittersweet is a hot bubblegum pink that is a cream shade (doesn't contain shimmer).  It is extremely pigmented so you have to be careful only to apply a tiny bit.  I usually apply cream blush with a synthetic brush but I found this particular blush blended in better when I used my fingers.  Bittersweet blended out to be a natural pink on my fair skintone.

Formula wise this is very thin and reminds me of Illamasqua's cream blushes.  Bittersweet dried completely matte and never looked dewy or wet on my skin.  I didn't set this blush with translucent powder as it didn't feel necessary.  Cream blushes don't tend to last very long on my skin yet this MUA blush lasted around 8 hours which is very impressive to me.  For the price this blush is great and since I'm going to U.K. (YAYYY!!!!) this summer I may might just pick another one up :)

Availabilty: £2 ($3.13 CAD) Superdrug or MUA Store (International shipping is £7.50/$11.72 CAD)

  9. What a lovely pink shade! You've definitely tempted me with the fact that it dries to a matte finish. Super exciting that you're going to the UK this summer! :)

  13. MUA Cream Blush in "Bittersweet" is a beautiful addition to any makeup collection. The shade is a rich, warm pink that imparts a healthy flush to the cheeks. How Invites Unblock The cream formula is easy to blend and provides a natural, dewy finish. It's buildable, allowing for both subtle and more intense looks.
