Winter Skin Savers

I have very dry and sensitive skin and cold, dry winters make it worse.  These are all products I've used for a long time that help combat that problem.  Sorry for the fact that these are almost finished containers (my boyfriend seemed to think that tube of Aquaphor looked hilarious?).

L to R: Jojoba Oil, Smashbox Soft Lights in Shimmer, Eucerin Aquaphor, Rosebud Strawberry Lip Balm, Avene Gentle Purifying Scrub, Jamieson Vitamin E Gel-Cream, & The Body Shop Shea Body Butter

Jojoba Oil: I use this as a cuticle oil, moisturiser, and makeup remover.  I've used this for many years and highly recommend it.  You can find it at most health food stores and Whole Foods.
Smashbox Soft Lights in Shimmer: As I'm really fair my skin can look pretty dull in the winter so this highlighter makes a huge difference.

Eucerin Aquaphor: I first discovered this when I was on Accutane as I had really red and flakey skin as a side effect.  I use this as a overnight hand cream and lip balm.
Rosebud Strawberry Lip Balm: I've used this lip balm for 10 years and I haven't had chapped lips ever since.  I've never tried the original Rosebud Salve because I'm so happy with this.
Avene Gentle Purifying Scrub: I use this 1-2 times a week and find it brightens and softens my skin. You can get this at Shoppers Drug Mart.
Jamieson Vitamin E Gel-Cream: This is too thick for the summer so I only use it from around October-May.  I've used this cream for years as it is very moisturising without causing breakouts.
The Body Shop Shea Body Butter: These are the only scented body creams I can use. I slather this on before every night before bed and it feels so nice and soothing on my skin.

P.S.: I am trying to make an effort to take pictures of my makeup looks but it is challenging due to the fact that it is now dark both before I leave for work and when I come home.  I'll try to take some pictures this weekend during the day. I'd also like to take a second to thank everyone who has followed me and/or taken the time to leave me nice comments.  It means a lot to me xx

  2. Body butters are one of my fave things to help with dry skin! They really are great, I also like using an oil after I shower, helps combat the dryness especially during the winter

  3. Hi Christine,
Great post. You've some wonderful products here. I did a post called 'winter proof your skin' in November if you'd like to have a look. It might give you some more tips to help combat dry sensitive skin. I have the same problem with my skin. The body shop body butter was a product I included too..It's so nice and luxurious..I always try to use as much natural products as possible since my skin is sensitive..
