January Goodbyes :(

Since I usually am buying so many beauty products I rarely finish anything.  This was the first month in literally years where I haven't bought any makeup so I managed to finish some things up.

Topshop Chelsea Boots: These are from fall 2011 and I loved them to death!  I wore these boots all throughout our mild winter in 2012 but this year they have bitten the dust.  I'm so sad to see these go as I've never seen anything like them.

Matrix Amplify Shampoo: I don't hoard hair products like I do makeup yet this took me a year to finish!  I got this from Winners for around $20 so that's pretty good value if you ask me.  I love this shampoo and would gladly repurchase it.
Softsoap Creamy Milk & Honey Bodywash: This is a really cheap bodywash but it smells amazing and does the job.  I've bought this before and will buy it again.

Nivea Creme: I got this for Christmas and quickly finished this mini pot.  It's a very nice cream but takes a bit too long to sink in.
Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mini: I also got this for Christmas.  I think it's a great mascara but it's just not worth the price tag.
Topshop Lash Extender Mascara: This was limited edition and I picked up on sale for $6!  It's an amazing mascara and I'm pretty sure it's identical to the regular Topshop mascara which is $18.
Rimmel Glam Eyes Liquid Eyeliner: I've been using Rimmel eyeliner since I was 14 and have been using Glam Eyes ever since it came out (?2008).  I'll always repurchase this.
Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Sin (from the Naked Palette): As long as I've worn makeup shimmery light pink shades have been my stable eye colour.  I would however repurchase the much similar MAC Eyeshadow in Naked Lunch instead since it's cheaper.
Bare Escentials Prime Time Eye Primer: This eye primer is pretty crappy and makes my eyeshadow crease.  That along with the fact that it's more expensive than better primers, I'd never repurchase it.  This sample size did however last a few months.
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation: My absolute favourite foundation!  Althouh Bourjois is sold in Canada this foundation isn't available.  I have a backup bottle but this foundation is getting harder and harder to find online, so I'll be trying something out next time :(

Since I have so many products I hope I can finish some more makeup this month.

  1. So sad when you have to part with a favourite item that can't be replaced :(
If you ever want any Healthy Mix sending when you're nearing the end, give me a shout! We could do a mini swap ;) xx

  2. Looks like you did pretty well! I've used that shampoo before & it's not bad at all!
I hate parting with shoes, it is sooooo hard ;(

    1. Not as good as you though lol! I have been known to buy 2 pairs of the same shoes if I love them but when I got those they were the last left since they were marked down so much.

  3. Parting with your favorites shoes is hard - I'm always like "maybe I could glue it back together?" :) Good job on using up stuff! I have heard the Healthy Mix is hard to come by, I think you can get it on ASOS.com, I think they came out with a powder as well.

  4. I think sometimes I don't use my products enough because I'm afraid of using them up and letting them go. I've got a pair of boots I got for $15 and I absolutely loved them, but now I'd call them dead... :(

    1. I used to do that but then I'm afraid of stuff going bad. There's always something else you'll fall in love with too! Awww your poor boots :( I got these for super cheap too which made them all the better.

  5. No surprise that you finished up Sin! Great staple shade. But you're right, I wouldn't splash out the money for a single one. Good post!

    1. Urban Decay palettes are great value but the single shadows are so expensive! Thanks Erica :)

  6. It's such a shame you have to get rid of your boots. Have you tried taking them to get re-soled etc?

I have a tendency to barely use some of my stuff because i'm scared i'll lose it all up! It's silly really because then you don't actually get to make the most out of using the products etc. I was thinking about this just today!

I love Urban Decay's sin!! I'd definitely be tempted to buy it again, though.. I've got Naked Lunch which I love but it hasn't got so much of a pink tone to it.

p.s I've responded to your question on my blog about how I get the ends of my hair smooth when curling.

    1. The inside is all ruined from snow and salt so I don't think so :( I think Naked Lunch is a bit more wearable since it's less frosty. I finished mine up last year but just didn't repurchase since I had Sin. Thank you :)

  7. I love the prime time foundation primer though! I think the lightweight formulation fits a foundation primer better than it does an eyeshadow primer.

    1. That's good to hear :) I'm not going to write off their products completely but the full size is so pricey I expect more.
