Real Techniques Stippling Brush

Real Techniques Brushes are some of the most hyped and talked makeup brushes in the blogging community and rightfully so!  I purchased 2 of their sets and blush brush when I was in the U.S. last year and have been paitently waiting for them to arrive in Canadian stores.  A few weeks ago I made the trek to Wal-Mart and noticed they had the sets for sale!

The brush I had been longing for the most is the Real Techniques Stippling Brush.  I only own one other stippling brush, the MAC 130 which although I like it there are a lot of faults.  The MAC 130 sheds like crazy all over my face, is really scratchy, and takes forever to dry.  I therefore really wanted to try Real Technique's Stippling brush and placed it on my wishlist a couple of weeks ago.

As luck would have it Farley Co., who is the Canadian distributor of Real Techniques (among other great beauty products) contacted me after they came across my wishlist!  They kindly offered to send me to Stippling Brush to review and I was as happy as a kid at Christmas.

I have tried various ways of using this brush and I feel like I've found the perfect way to use this brush.  My prefered way to use this brush is when damp and to apply my foundation and then blend in my concealer.  I'm left with the perfect medium coverage and dewy glow.  I have also tried this to apply cream blush and it works perfectly.

What I love most about the Real Techniques brush is that it is so incredibly soft, even after washing it a few times.  It has yet to shed a single hair which is another huge bonus.  I tend to wash this brush before I go to bed and 8 hours later it is mostly dry with just the right dampness to get the foundation finish I want.  If your brush is completely dry when you need to use it you can just spray it with water.  This brush is also a complete steal at $11 and if you're after a new foundation or blush brush I highly recommend it!

Availability: Farley Co., $10.99

  8. I don't wear many cream blushes, but maybe its because I don't have the right brush to work it into my skin! Maybe this is what I need =)

    1. There was only one set of the eye brushes left at my Wal-Mart (Dufferin Mall) two weeks ago :( You can order directly from Farley Co. and it only took 2 days for me to get my brush.

  13. This completely outperforms the MAC 130 for me! It was also my first RT brush and still one of my most-used. I recommend this over any of the MAC DuoFibres.

    1. Couldn't agree more! I can't believe how much I paid for the MAC 130 when this is so amazing for 1/5 of the price.
