Montagne Jeunesse Clay Spa Masks Launch

Last Wednesday I was invited to an event by Farley Co. to celebrate the launch of three new masks by the British skincare company, Montagne Jeunesse.  The launch party was held at The Vault at One King West Hotel in downtown Toronto.  By pure coincidence one of my closest and oldest friends Carmen was invited as she works in marketing so we arrived together.  The Farley Co. ladies were super nice and introduced us to everyone.  We were left to mingle for a bit while being offered drinks and hor d'oeuvres.  I ended up bumping into one of my favourite Toronto bloggers, Jen from Procrastinating Pretty and also got to chat with Leslie from Petite Pear Style, Cynthia from Delectably Chic, Jennifer from Spiced Beauty, and Elaine from Toronto Beauty Reviews.

Just SOME of the yummy food!
We were then invited to watch a presentation by Keith Rockhill, the Sales & Marketing Director of Montagne Jeunesse who flew in from England.  Keith gave us a history of the brand and spoke about how they use 99% natural ingredients for their products.  We were introduced to Montagne Jeunesse's new line of face masks, the Clay Spa masks.  These masks are the first clay infused cloth masks on the market meaning that you can now wear a clay mask easily without all the mess and fuss of a clay mask that comes in a tube or pot.
The new Clay Spa masks from L to R: Red Earth Clay Spa, Dead Sea Clay Spa, and Glacial Clay Spa
The three new masks are:
Red Earth Clay Spa:  This mask is best suited for oily and problematic skin as it contains cinnamon, Mediterranen clay, and Pomegrante to deep clean skin and remove excess oils.
Dead Sea Clay Spa: A hydrating and anti-aging mask made out of seaweed, kelp, mud, and salt from the Dead Sea (my personal favourite!).
Glacial Clay Spa: Contains anti-oxidant rich Red Grape & Arctic Cloudberry juices from Scandinavia that help protect skins natural barrier.

After the presentation we were offered to try a Clay Spa mask of our choice.  Since going home without my makeup is my biggest nightmare (not really!) Carmen and Jen offered to test them out.  As they both have oily/combo skin they selected the Red Earth Clay Spa to try out.  We all laughed at how funny the masks looked on (Carmen called it "fake tan gone wrong") and set the timers on our phones.  I touched Carmen's face after her mask was done (that sounds creepy but I've known her for 20 years!) and her skin felt super soft.
Lovely models: Carmen (left) and Jen from Procrastinating Pretty
There was even a makeup touch up table full of other Farley Co. products!
On our way out of the event we were given a very generous goody bag full of Montagne Jeunesse products.  I had such a nice time and it was really interesting learning the background of Montagne Jeunesse.  I have to admit I have very sensitive skin and am wary of new skincare but I'm absolutely loving the masks so far.  I don't want to say too much as I'll be doing reviews soon :)  Big thanks to the ladies from Farley Co. for inviting me!

  5. I'm so jealous of all the fun events you get to go to! I have yet to try a fabric mask - I'm so stuck on my weekly glycolic peel that I'm worried about adding something to the mix! But clay draws out impuities and it would probably really beneficial this summer, I think I would like the dead sea mask best as well. I also can't wait for you to review the under eye patches - I always wonder about those :)

  10. Ooh, these are super intriguing! I like Korean sheet masks, but they can sometimes be a bit rich for my oily skin. Loving the idea of a sheet-based clay mask! And thanks for linking all those Toronto beauty bloggers sites- always looking for other blogs from the area!

Also, I saw your comment on my Korean cosmetics post- I live near Bloor and Christie and also know some good places in Chinatown to go for Korean skin care and makeup. Let me know if you want any recommendations! xo
